This is my first blog entry in English, enjoy!
I have had two midterms these past couple of weeks. One in International Business Finance, a unit that deals with fundamental concepts and the tools necessary for effective financial decision making for firms and businesses in a globalized world, and one in Mathematical Methods of Economic Analysis, which serves as an introduction to mathematical economics. I feel confident that I did good in both of them :)
The lecturer for my economics class is really cool. His name is Vladimir Smirnov (almost Smirnoff, like the vodka hehe) and he has this really ruff Russian accent. I love hearing him talk! And as he holds masters in economics AND math, and a PhD, he really knows what he's talking about.
Have a lot going on at work too as we are expanding in to new regions (Germany and New Zeeland), and new platforms (iPhone). The boss really wants me to work more hours, and i feel torn as really have to focus on my school work, which is my #1 priority right now. I am also negotiating a contract at the moment as I am looking for a more permanent position at the form, as oppose to casual work as the situation is now.
I am back in the gym again too! Feels great :) I have lost a lot of weight these past couple of months, but that's all gonna change now hehe ;)
Been looking at tickets for the trip home to Sweden, and damn it is expensive! 16 000 kr is the cheapest I have seen lately. Come on! Last time i purchased tickets I paid 16 000 kr for a flight to Sweden AND a flight to China.
Reading a lot about Greece right now, and I must say that I am really glad that I am not Greek. How the hell could they not see this coming? I mean, retire at 54? Really?? Welcome to the real world. I wonder what the retirement age will be when my time comes. 80? Not impossible.
Still quite good weather here. The evenings and the nights are getting cooler (i do not have to sleep with the fan on any longer), but the days are still really warm, 25 degrees is not uncommon. However, it is becoming increasingly difficult to pick out clothes, as the mornings and nights are cold, but the days are hot! Really annoying sometimes, but i guess i shouldn't complain :)
Cheers!
